The Non-Academic staff of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, occupied the front of the Senate building for the third straight day to protest against some policies of the institution. Our correspondent gathered that the angry workers chased away the Vice-chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole, from his office along with some other academic staff with charms. The workers, it was gathered began the protest on Tuesday and have not failed to gather to protest each day since then. The workers under the aegis of Joint Action Committee had vowed never to return to their duty posts until the school management yield to their demands, which include upgrading of staff with additional qualifications, appointment of substantive directors to all non-academic teaching staff units and provision of working tools, among others.
